The task


The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases, hired Luna Public Relations to call attention to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and raise awareness about how common and widespread it is.

The results


  • Planned, organized and spearheaded a Media Day at Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation National Headquarters in New York City, entitled “IBD in America: Stories of Diversity, Challenges and Hope”

  • Captured the attention of dozens of journalists covering consumer health, philanthropy, diversity, science and diseases by promoting the real-life stories of individuals from various ethnic backgrounds suffering from IBD

  • Secured press to attend Media Day from outlets including Good Housekeeping, Prevention, Woman’s Day, Everyday Health, Health.com and U.S. News & World Report
